Institution extended activity
The provision of Article 98 of the Law on the Fundamentals of Education System regulates the possibility that, in addition to the education activity, an institution performs other activity that contributes to the improvement of the basic activity and its better and more rational performance.
The extended activity of the institution may include the provision of services, production, sales, as well as other activities, in accordance with the regulations governing the classification of activities.
As part of their extended activity, primary and secondary schools may implement training programmes, professional training, as well as other adult education activities, providing they acquire the status of a publicly recognised adult education activities organiser (PRAEAO), in accordance with the law governing the National Qualifications Framework.
A public secondary school that meets the prescribed conditions is eligible to acquire the status of a training centre, in accordance with the law regulating dual education.
The basic conditions for the extended activity performance include as follows: that the institution has a decision on the verification of the institution and that this activity does not interfere with the performance of education activities.
