7th International Festival of Mind ends
On Sunday, 14 May 2017, at the Great Hall of the Assembly of AP Vojvodina, the winner award ceremony of the 7th International Festival of Mind took place. The host was the Provincial Secretariat for Education, Regulations, Administration and National Minorities-National Communities. The participants were welcomed by Milan Kovačević, the Deputy Provincial Secretary for Education, Regulations, Administration and National Minorities-National Communities.
This year’s moto of the Festival was „Unlock DNA creativity ”, and participants included students from several European regions, such as : Republic of Serbia, Timiş County (Romania), Bács-Kiskun County (Hungary), Styria (Republic of Austria), Vukovar-Srijem County, Osijek- Baranja County and Istria County (Republic of Croatia), City of Ljubljana (Republic of Slovenia) and Autonomous Region of Friuli- Venezia-Giulia (Republic of Italy).
Competitors’ works were evaluated by the intenational expert jury consisting of 11 esteemed members from the USA, Greece, Slovenia, Australia and Serbia. The winner of the Festival was Ambra Rossi from the Dante Alighieri Lyceum (Trieste, Italy), the runner-up was Martina Polastri from Trieste, from the Enrico Nordio Lyceum , while the 3rd ranked was Milica Jovanović from the „dr Milenko Hadžić“ Medical School from Niš.
The official ceremony of selection and announcement of winners was attended by Velimir Pileša, Consul General of the Republic of Croatia in Subotica, representatives of the Provincial Secretariat for Education, Regulations, Administration and National Minorities-National Communities, students-finalists, their professors, representatives of regions and embassies..
The Festival of Mind project was organised under the auspices of the Provincial Secretariat for Education, Regulations, Administration and National Minorities – National Communities and in cooperation with the Mensa Serbia and the Faculty of Economics and Engineering Management FIMEK.
